Llegar en avión a Salamanca

The best option is to fly to the nearest large airports and from there take a bus or train.

Madrid-Barajas Airport: it is the most popular and convenient option. Once you land, you can take a direct bus from the Monbus company from Terminal 1 or Terminal 4 of the airport. You can also take a train from Chamartín station.

The Salamanca Bus Station is only a 15-minute walk from the city centre.

From Madrid: the Monbus the Monbus company is your best friend. Buses depart very frequently from Méndez Álvaro station or from Barajas airport. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. Perfect for taking a nap!

From other cities: There are direct connections with cities such as Valladolid, Seville, Barcelona, Bilbao, and many more.

If you like to enjoy the scenery, the train is an excellent option. The Salamanca Train Station is a little further from the centre, about a 25-minute walk, but you can always take a taxi.

From Madrid: The Alvia trains are the fastest and most comfortable, connecting Chamartín station with Salamanca in about 2 hours.

If you prefer the autonomy of your vehicle, you’ll be glad to know that Salamanca is excellently connected by a modern network of motorways. It’s the most practical and flexible option, ideal if you’re coming with a lot of luggage or plan to explore the province.

From Madrid: The most common route is to take the A-50 (Autovía de Castilla), a journey of approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes and about 210 km.

ATTENTION: Keep in mind that if you arrive in Madrid at night, transportation options to Salamanca may be limited. In that case, we recommend checking updated schedules and considering alternatives such as private transportation services.
